It was a bittersweet day… we had a great time reflecting on our accomplishments in 2025, our goals for 2026, and deepened our mutual understanding of the field of RNA biology and how we fit in as individuals. This gathering helped us synthesize our understanding of the purpose and importance of our work as researchers, reinforce the lab’s strategic goals and vision, and catapult forward the lab’s scientific contributions. We had a bunch of tasty food, too!
However, we also had to say farewell to our awesome postdoc, Louis. He has been a valuable contribution to the lab and continues to be a great teacher and brilliant scientist. He is moving on to new opportunities and his presence in our lab will be missed!
